CUSTOM BOAT F.A.Q.'s:

Q: What is the lead time on a fully  custom aluminum boat?

A: Depending on the time of year (busy season) and vessel size, lead times range from 4 months (boats 20' or less)  to 12 months.

Q: What is the cost of a custom aluminum boat?

A: Design fees can range from as low as $200 to as much as $3,500 depending on the vessel size and systems complexity. A safe rule of thumb for bare aluminum hull pricing is $1,100 per boat foot on open, tiller control style boats, and $2200 per boat foot on boats with a cabin.  Electronics, furnishing, painting, and propulsion varies widely subject to brand, style, etc. Many of our customers choose to purchase a bare hull and complete the outfitting themselves.

Q: How do I start?

A: Typically we request an initial face to face meeting (or ZOOM)  to better understand your application and needs. We then submit a Scope of Work proposal, with a breakdown of design cost, and a Rough Order of Magnitude on the project. Design phase typically takes anywhere from a week to 2 months subject to project size.
