Silverback Marine is a certified and bespoke Marine Design entity located in Tacoma, WA, which also owns a manufacturing facility located on Commencement Bay, Puget Sound. Our area of expertise is in design and manufacture of ABYC and USCG compliant aluminum vessels between 22’ and 75’ LOA for Federal, State, and Local government and private sector clientele.

Our most popular attribute is our unique “co-design with the customer” approach. With a highly experienced team of staff in-house solely focused on marine design, hydrostatics, and mechanical systems, the cadence of thorough, detailed client meetings is the backbone of our customer experience. 

With multiple design drafts, revisions, and finally photo-realistic renderings, our customers enjoy utmost peace of mind and visibility thanks to this “building the boat first in the office” approach, prior to physical construction of the vessel. 

Because of this bespoke design experience, many customers contract Silverback strictly for the vessel design and specification writing, to establish a benchmark design standard prior to generating an RFQ. By having detailed drawings and specifications, our clients can obtain more accurate estimates from multiple builders, and save significant time during the final vessel procurement process.
